Currently, our hotels endpoints only return the maximum number of adults as a maxOccupancy.
However, we do support online travel agents who focus specifically on family bookings, and they’re currently manually curating hotels that are family-friendly and rooms suitable to accommodate children in the bed, extra beds, or cribs – by using the notes.fromSeller field to inform the hotel about the specific requirements of the family staying in the room.
e.g. (“Family booking with 2 adults and a 7-year old on sofa bed”).
The hotel then confirms this as part of the regular booking acceptance and can make sure to prepare the room accordingly.
